The Setting

Built in the 19th century, the Boutique Hotel in Florence Palazzo Lorenzo has undergone careful renovations by architect Stefano Viviani with the goal of preserving and enhancing the original architectural features and artistic design.

The common spaces retain their beautiful architectural features, such as the frescoed ceilings and the magnificent lacunar ceiling of the spacious sitting room.

Garden

In warm weather, the area outside the building, which includes a furnished garden and a small solarium, offers extra relaxation for visitors and serves as an additional location for an aperitif or cultural event.

Interior

The grand stone staircase that links the entrance to the main level is evidence of the palace’s prior residential use.

The magnificent hardwood coffered ceiling in the roomy sitting room of the Boutique Hotel Palazzo Lorenzo in the heart of Florence features a geometric theme broken up by floral accents and double squares. The adjacent breakfast and aperitif area has a floor built of characteristic Tuscan pavé and a ceiling decorated with springtime-themed frescoes.

Exterior

The sitting room opens to the paved garden, which the palace and its annexe, the Seventy House, share. The Seventy House, so named because it was built in the 1970s, is decorated in a modern style with colour schemes and themed furniture. Paolo Dovichi’s paintings on canvas and panel adorn the common areas and rooms. When weather permits, breakfast and aperitifs are served in the garden’s lush setting under the cover of trees and big umbrellas.
